A selection of Volunteer Park views from Tony Collins

The large enclosure down one side and terracing behind one goal and one side are original from 1920-30's senior side's days. Opposite the covered enclosure is the ubiquitous crumbling concrete open side so common in the Juniors. There are the usual refreshment facilities onhand.

Social Club: There is no social club

Club Information:
Armadale Thistle's Volunteer Park once hosted league football, from 1921-32. Back then the club was plainly known as Armadale. The industrial depression of that time - with the collapse of the Lothian collieries and shale oil industries - was the catalyst that saw the end of Armadale's league status.

Thistle tend to attract crowds of way less than 100 these days, but of course that rises when opponents bring a crowd with them.
